Patumthani Int. Theatre Festival

A goal of the festival is green and sustainable. It's not only a gimmick, but it's also a long run mission of the festival.

As we believe that "theatre is a gift, not for sale. So, all staff will get no pay, except an outside source guests for a seminar. And all fund, if there is any left after expenses will go to an educational purpose for Moradokmai Homeschool.

There will be 7 venues for 8 days. All activities will happen on the same venue each day.

The first day will be a special Thai culture festival to welcome all participants, and also the last day will be a special pay homage to master of an artist ceremony in Thai culture to farewell all.

There will be 21 national school groups, along with 6 international groups, altogether will be 300 people in the festival, excluded audiences who come, approximately 200 more each day.

We will be able to take care of each international group for not more than 8 people.

We will be able to provide food, lodging, and local transportation, from February 1-10,2009, with 2 day sightseeing included.

It,s going to be a green festival, so all participants are requested to ride cycle to each venue. Most of venues are 3-6 km. far.

What an International participants need to do in the festival:

  • One great performance with a strong message towards sustainability, with a discussion afterwards.
  • 3 hours work-shop for 2 days for one group of Thai participants for 200-250 people, and also a presentation from a workshop on the next day.
  • Be and honorable audiences and commentator for national groups performances 3 hours in the morning for 2 days(3 performances each day )
  • Enjoy thai way of life, food, scenery, and hospitality.
  • Be a part of a festival board, by giving comments, and through discussion, as you know, this is our first time.
  • On the day you perform, you will be free all day, to rehearse and to concentrate.
